Every AI company runs research: benchmarks, evaluations, model experiments, the long questions about capable autonomous systems. Solen Lab is our version of that: tiny, open, and honest about what it is. We're not promising AGI. We're building the instruments to see what's real.
In production, not just on paper
The Lab is also running the product.
Since August 2026, the day-to-day operation of Solen AI, monitoring, upkeep, keeping things running, is handled by autonomous agent tooling built out of Solen Lab's own research on capable agents. It is a live experiment: that research put to use on the project it exists to support, not left on a shelf as benchmarks. Full details, and updates if the arrangement changes, live on the changelog.

If you want to build this from day zero, the door is open, with the terms in plain sight.
We're looking for people who find these questions interesting enough to contribute to open-source experiments, benchmarks, and prototypes on their own time. Here's the deal, stated plainly:
Volunteer, and we say so
Early participation is unpaid. That's stated up front, not buried in a FAQ. You decide if the work is worth your time, and you can stop at any moment, no questions asked.
No vague promises
No implied future jobs, no automatic equity, no 'exposure'. If that ever changes, it will be a written agreement, not a hint.
Your name on your work
Contributions are publicly attributed. Repositories and results go open-source whenever possible, so what you build here is verifiably yours.
Clear scope, defined together
Every collaboration starts with a written summary of the role, the goal, and the expectations, so nobody is surprised later. Clear rules apply for minors and international contributors.
